AML’s Managing Director, Alan Jones, has achieved a highly successful career to date with over thirty-five years management experience in strategic and operational logistics support, asset management (ISO 55,000), contracting and procurement, training, communications, project management and representational appointments. His career has spanned over twenty years in the Australian Defence Force and fifteen years in private business. Alan has demonstrated flexibility and resilience to manage in environments that are consistently evolving and subject to public and safety scrutiny.
Alan’s profile of appointments and business roles reflects a comprehensive understanding and application of business and project management principles within logistical support environments, particularly involving industry support to Government projects. These skills have also been applied to a variety of private sector industries including transport and ICT.
Alan has a diverse integrated logistics background that includes the provision of technical equipment and services, business management process reviews, sustainment management for specialist platforms, communications equipment, food, fuel, clothing, explosives, maintenance, medical and pastoral services. In previous appointments he has also fulfilled senior responsibilities for human resource management, facilities acquisition and management, public relations, media management and OHS management.
